The Cold Climate Damper, available with CentricAir 2.7, 3.4, & 4.0 and QA-Deluxe 4800, 5500, and 6500 models, is specifically designed for cold climates. It features a heavy-duty actuator tested for 60,000 cycles. The damper door is insulated to R-10 (upgradeable to R-50) to ensure an airtight seal when the whole house fan is not in use. It can be installed either vertically or horizontally.
In extremely cold regions, the R-50 version of the damper door combines standard fiberglass insulation with a VIP (vacuum insulation panel) to achieve its R-50 insulation rating.
Designed for use with our backdraft damper, this adapter allows you to mount the gravity damper on a wall instead of the ceiling.

Central Valley Whole House Fans offers a 15-year motor warranty on all our whole house fans. While issues are extremely rare, we back every fan we sell with a no-hassle guarantee.
The motor is covered for 15 years from the date of purchase against defects or failures, provided the fan is used according to the instructions in the user manual. Additionally, labor and other components, such as switches, are covered by a one-year parts warranty. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and while problems are uncommon, we are committed to ensuring that every client is fully satisfied with their whole house fan purchase.
